Another Busy Week

Another busy week on-site, the weather has been better, more product dropping in store.

This week Ryan and I have had some product training and fitting with two brands, Cleveland golf and TaylorMade.

It’s back! The pro shop challenge! Will start in April last year we played a better ball medal and this year we are looking at changing the format and would love to hear your ideas.

Srixon/ Cleveland Fitting Day

Tuesday 25th February - Starting at 3pm

On Wednesday 24th July I will be hosting a Srixon/ Cleveland Demo day with an expert fitter.

The range has certainly been a popular choice and if haven't tried then it certainly is worth a try.

Herts PGA events...

After our recent trip to Ashridge, I have had some more interest in taking teams to Pro-Am’s in the new year.

The Herts PGA offer a number of Pro-Am events through the ‘off-season’ and next year is the Centenary Year Of The Hertfordshire PGA. Ryan and I would love to take a couple of teams to each of these events. The venues are great and priced up from £65 a man. They are made up of teams of 3 and a pro. Bacon/coffee rolls to start, a round of golf, two-course meal and a prize table are all included in the day (prize table subject to our results) plus the company and guidance from your resident golf pro’s for the day.

First look...

Layer up

Last week we talked about one of our favourite topics: rain! Whilst waterproof protection is key for staying dry when caught in a downpour, combining layers of clothing underneath is vital if you want to enjoy the warmth without being so restricted that you can’t complete your backswing.

What do we mean by layering?

Lots of golfers are still in the habit of putting on as many layers as they possibly can in the winter to combat the cold – a vest, turtleneck, polo, sweater and jacket – but today’s golf clothing could easily cut that down by half.

What do we suggest?

This vest is the PWRWARM from Puma and it has some clever technology in that retains heat close to your body so you are comfortable throughout your round. It has also been designed to offer the golfer complete freedom during the swing.
