Be a Player - It's a state of mind... Working on technique is always important, however, once you are on the course it is often your mental state that needs attention. These 'Be a Player' sessions are aimed at both the golf club player and advanced players and presents a series of 'human skills'. Played over nine holes, we will experiment and explore these human skills through a series of explorations on the golf course that strip away the many swing thoughts going on at any one time. The goal is to unite your technical skills and on course performance to unlock your golfing potential and breakdown milestones! We have scheduled 3 dates starting next month, costing £20 per person with a maximum of 3 in a group. Last week we had 3 more Stevenage Golfers head out on the course to take part in the 3rd ‘Be a Player’ 9 hole playing lesson. Nick Monk, Steve Francis and David Hatmil were the next group of intrigued golfers to see what this 9 hole exploration session was all about. The same session as previous groups was what we had planned, with a new exploration on ‘every’ hole. As per previous groups some of the explorations worked better than others for different people. All the guys enjoyed the session and there was certainly some ‘lightbulb’ moments. From chipping and putting on one leg, making practice swings with our eyes shut and playing a hole with feet together for every shot again it was great to see the guys ‘get out of their own way’ with on course technical thoughts and just ‘play’ golf. The next session is planned on Wednesday 23rd teeing off at 2pm, if you are interested and would like to know more, click here and get in touch. |
