Ryan's Round-up... Welcome to Ryan’s round up after a few weeks off. I’ve had quite a lot on the last few weeks; I’ve had a two week holiday and played a fair bit of golf. Starting with my holiday I was lucky enough to get to play several times while away in Portugal with my dad and two younger brothers that all play too , so we had our own four ball. I do need to recommend a resort if you are traveling to Portugal and looking to play some golf. Following a holiday last year and playing the Faldo course at the Amendoeira resort, I felt the need to return again this year to play the other course there, the O’Conner course. We went on to return later in the week to play the Faldo course again. The quality of the two courses is second to none, with some of the best greens I’ve ever played on. After returning to work last week and a busy few days at work, I was back playing at Bishop Stortford in my first event in quite some time, one year on from doing my playing ability at the same course. I did not leave the course as happy as I did last time, but I was very frustrated after the 36 holes on Monday. Not a bad result as I came tied for 16th but was frustrated at my worst putting performance for at least 5 years. The putter normally bails me out but cost me easily 8 to 10 shots over the 2 rounds. So don’t be surprised to see me on the putting green over the next few weeks. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed my update on my holiday and my golf.
