ONE Length Challenge Update
Bit of a mix up last week in regards to getting John’s update so here is a couple of weeks’ worth of his ONE length Challenge:
After another session on the range which made me feel more at ease with the ONE lengths, I played 18 on Saturday. I shouldn’t blame the storm winds, but after losing 2 balls and fishing 2 more out of the river I shot 105, so not so happy.
I cannot blame the irons at all, Woods yes, they were way off from the tee. Back to the range and try harder next week.
Thursday I had a bucket of balls on the range confirming I am getting more consistent shots straighter so happy days. Friday afternoon went out and played the front 9 off the White tees for some experience. I need some driving lessons! Recovered well with the Cobra irons, especially the gap wedge around the green which saved my day.
Ps. My woods are NOT the Cobra woods
Decided to join Stevenage Golf club to make me play more and hopefully improve my game. Went out Saturday behind the last group playing off the white tees. It was a bit cold to start and slow going but managed to get round only losing one ball!
The Cobra ONE length clubs are giving me more confidence over the ball and I am hitting them better (straighter) due to the forgiving technology and that the clubs are the same length, I assume. I scored badly due to bunker shots and wayward tee shots and a few fairway wood disasters. Still looking forward to next week!
