Welcome to another edition of the Stevenage golf centre newsletter. The last week of April and a bank holiday weekend, so plenty of opportunity to get some golf in.

Good Luck Declan

It's a sad week for us on site. Long term member and then member of staff, Declan, is leaving us and moving on to a new role. Dec has been a regular feature at the site for over a decade! Dec joined us as a junior golfer before turning professional and starting a career as a PGA professional with us. 

Declan's last day will be May 1st, but he will be available for coaching until the 31st May. So if you would like any coaching fitted in before he leaves or you have any outstanding lessons, please see Declan before the end of May. We wish Declan all the best in his new role and look forward to seeing him on site for the occasional game.


 

Callaway Fitting Day

It's going to be EPIC. Callaway are on site this Thursday for one of their demo days. There has been much talk about the in demand driver with reports of a back log in the UK of 2000 drivers waiting to get built and delivered. Well there must be something special about them and with a few spaces left, why not get yourself booked in to see what the hype is all about? 

Remember there is no obligation to buy. But it is a great chance to try Callaway products and see how they could improve your game.

Why It Pays To Have Coaching

There was some great scoring from some guys of mine this week. A great gross score of 76 for John West playing off 11, but a nett 65 wasn't quite good enough to beat Ray Watt who scored nett 64! 

Well done to both the guys who have been working hard at their games in recent months!

Clinics

The last clinic in April is on Saturday 29th 2pm, a 9 hole beat the course. Some new dates will be released for May shortly, but until then if there is a specific topic you fancy me hosting please let me know.

The over 50's golf starts on Thursday the 4th May. The 10am slot is fully booked and there are only 2 spots left for the 6pm session. 

A couple days later the FREE family sessions start. There is a spot for one family left on the 4 week course starting on the 6th. Failing that the next FREE family session starts on the 3rd June.
