Feedback 
I've had a couple of great messages recently from some guys I coach regarding Hole in Ones. Congratulations to John Llewellyn who holed out on the 2nd here at Stevenage and Chris McNicol who holed out on the Par 4! 7th at Chesfield. These two guys are now the 4th and 5th players I have coached since I joined SGC a year ago to knock up there first hole in one's. I wish I could spread the wealth to my own game and add to my grand total of one hole in one!

Clinics 
We had a great first clinic on Tuesday covering putting. 

After a chat about putting and what I like to see in a putting action we set up some stations where the guys were either playing some putting games with some consequence, ie if you miss you start again. the reason for this is when we putt there is a consequence. If you hit it 5 foot past and miss the one coming back that's a 3 putt and added to your score, so when we practice we should try and recreate the same 'pressure' feelings. 

A great game is 12 putts around the star. Start with the close ones and work your way out. If you miss you start again. if you get to the 9th,10th putt those last few will get you feeling some pressure otherwise you start all over again.  

At the end of the hour we had a 9 hole stroke play game to test the skills the guys had learnt. It must have been a good session as I was 2 under for 9 holes and didn't win!

New Membership  
We are pleased to announce a new academy membership which includes unlimited access to 9 holes of the golf course. This is aimed at new and developing golfers who are looking at getting into the game whilst still learning with the professional team but aren't quite ready for 5 or 7 day membership, there are some TandC's involved but for more info come and see us.
