Open Day

We have an Open Day on Saturday April 1st. What can you expect? Green Fees for only £10 a round which have started to be booked, so get in quickly to book yours, FREE small baskets of range balls, 15 minute FREE Coaching Taster Session (booked), FREE nearest the pin competition on the GC2 Simulator, FREE Par 3 and footgolf, a discount for pre-booking a Sunday carvery and if you purchase a membership you will be in with a chance to win you membership for FREE as we will pick someone out from all the sign ups. 

The coaching sessions are bookable, or if we are free and you fancy a taster we will accommodate on the day.


 

New YMG Junior Dates

As we try and get our junior section larger and get more juniors not only playing golf, but getting better and enjoying it, we are launching 2 new dates. Tuesday 4th April at 5pm, so for after school, and Saturday 13th May at midday.

Podcast Of The week 

For those of you I coach, I'm always going on about the podcasts I listen to. I have about a 40 minute journey to and from work so I see this as great time to learn and listen to some golf or educational podcasts. So I thought it would be a good feature to introduce to this newsletter. I've called it podcast of the week. 

Now it might not be every week, but when I listen to one worth letting you know about then I will be sure to put it on here. This week is one from 'One the Mark Radio' and features an instructor called Tom Stickney and how to improve your handicap. I really enjoyed it because I felt like there were lots of bits that I coach when out on playing lessons about shot selection, especially hitting to greens and short game. Trade-in 

I hear a lot of people asking about trade-ins and it is something we can offer. We use a company called GolfBidder who buy second hand clubs. All we do is ring them up and get a quote and pass that quote on to you. If you like the quote then we take your clubs and work out the difference and deal done. Don't be fooled by the double trade in at American Golf, as one customer vouched this week it's not always what it is made out to be!

Advertising Opportunities

We have some fantastic advertising opportunities in 3 very prominent areas of the centre. First up, the new driving range dividers have some 1000mm x 300mm spaces coming from only £22 a week.  Secondly we have some new yardage charts coming to the shop, from just £0.75 a booklet. Finally this newsletter. Your business featured in this newsletter every week going out to our growing database of golfers.

Coaching Clinics 

As the clocks change this week and the nights get lighter, I have put some clinics up for April for playing lessons, short game and putting. The posters are on the board next to the Pro Shop as well and these will need to be booked in advance.

• Putting Clinic-  1 hour, up to 6 people, Tuesday 4th April and Tuesday 18th April at 6pm, £5 per person.
• Playing Lesson - 9 holes, up to 3 people, Saturday 15th April and Saturday 29th April, £12.50 per person.
• Short Game Clinic - 1 hour 30 minutes, up to 4 people, Tuesday 2nd April, £7.50 per person.

These can be booked through the shop or through my online diary.
