With news last week of our new YMG Junior Golf Programme starting on October 8th, requests have started to come in to reserve spaces. Classes start at 10am, 11am and 12 midday. Each class is limited to eight children and, as mentioned last week, spaces are reserved on receipt of payment. Each week covers a different aspect of the game, plus a section on etiquette and some simple rules. On the first course the juniors receive a nice A5 folder, with the 8-week course plan which allows the juniors to keep a record of the programme. As they complete one 8-week programme and move on to the next stage, we add the next notes to the folder. With the new studio now in operation, we have seen a rise in people looking to improve their game and use our technology to see where we can help them. As part of my coaching service, not only do I use the GC2 and HMT but also video analysis through 'Coach's Eye' and a fantastic app called 'Edufii' where I load your lesson notes on as a log of what you are working on. 'Edufii' is also a great way of communicating between lessons, letting me know how you have been playing and any highlights that happen in between coaching sessions. Stevenage FC Foundation is hosting their first ever golf day in partnership with SLL Stevenage Golf Centre on Wednesday, 14 September. The day will give golfers the chance to play 18 holes with a Stevenage FC first team player and take part in a team and individual stableford competition. There are a variety of other competitions on the day including Beat the Pro, Nearest the Pin and more. All proceeds will go to Stevenage FC Foundation to support their work in the local community.
