Welcome to the Stevenage Golf and Conference Centre newsletter,
This is our second attempt at launching the newsletter and after some initial hiccups, we now have in place a way of delivering you the newsletter directly to your inbox with regular content.
I have been on site now for two months and am starting to meet a lot of new people. Thank you to everyone who has welcomed my arrival, I feel like I've settled in nicely and now have the footings to start implementing some of my ideas around.
So what can you expect from the newsletter?
Well we will be including news, whether that be about the site or golf news in general. We will have regular coach's corner, whether that be from myself as a Blog/Vlog or from our Assistant Professional, Declan Brady. Offers, offers, offers. We want to deliver you great value. This could be any 'deals of the week' we have running in the shop, any campaigns with known manufacturers or green-fee offers. Course guide showing you how to play Stevenage golf course. Tournament news from Declan and I, when and where we are playing and results. Lesson news and lots more.

New in the pro shop is the grip wall, with several makes of grips available for you to touch and try. The new Golf Pride SNSR putter grips were delivered last Friday and from the 12 that were delivered, half have been sold already. Make sure you pop in to have a look next time you're on site.
One item I will be doing on a monthly basis is a new members-only clinic, which will be on the first Wednesday of each month.

The next couple of weeks sees Declan and I playing in The London Open and The East Region Championship. I will let you know how we get on in the next few editions of the newsletter.
On Monday, 27 June I will playing with club member Bob 'The Grip' in the regional final of the Lombard National Pro-Am. If we win the regional we will progress to the grand final being held in Vila Sol, Portugal. Wish us luck. I know I fancy an all-expenses paid trip to Portugal.
If you wish to play in a Pro-Am with me, the PGA host many around the region and usually consist of teams of three and a pro. I would be more than happy to play in any event with you so if you're interested please let me know. On Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th August, there is a two-day Dunhill Links Style Pro-Am at East Herts Golf Club. The format is a betterball event and pro event running at the same time. Day 2 is drawn as they do on the TV with the leaders going out later. If you would like to play in this with me the cost is £120 for the two days and includes a three-course meal after round two, an amateur prize table and complimentary Pimms tent. It looks to be a great day and something different.
